We are about to embark on a pond and habitat restoration project at Sycamore Grove Park. The project has been in the works a long time, going through reviews, permitting, budgeting convolutions, and of course, navigating the rough and tumble of the political and legal obstacle course. But now that the funding is about to expire, everyone is motivated; and we have to get the heavy construction work done before October 15 so as not to disturb the nesting schedule of the CRLF’s (that’s the California Red Legged Frog!). Here’s more photos of the cattail choked stock pond and the drainage that is the focus of our upcoming work.
